Privacy notice
This notice covers the website mitklaus.com and describes what happens when you visit it. The text is short because the website does little: no cookies, no analytics, no content from other servers as long as you only read. What klaus later does with business data inside a company is governed by the pilot agreement and not by this notice.
Controller
The joint controllers within the meaning of the GDPR are:
Fridolin Franke, Leonard Haselhuhn, Carsten Philipp Kock (GbR)Stresemannstraße 4222769 HamburgEmail: kontakt@mitklaus.com
What this website does not do
- No analytics or tracking tools, no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels.
- No cookies for analytics or advertising. We ourselves store nothing in your browser.
- No content from other servers as long as you only read the page. Fonts, images and scripts sit on our own server, and no request goes out to Google Fonts or a content delivery network. The one exception is the bot check in the contact form: it loads only once you touch the form, and it is described below.
- No social networks, no advertising networks, no profiling.
Server logs
When this page is requested, our web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the browser identification and the status code. This is needed to deliver the page and to detect attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and undisturbed operation). These logs are deleted automatically after 90 days at the latest and are not combined with other data.
Hosting
The website runs on a server we rent in a data centre in Germany. The data centre is operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, acting for us as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. No transfer to a third country takes place in this context.
The form “Request a pilot slot”
If you write to us through the form, we process what you enter there: name, business and email address, plus, where you provide them voluntarily, your trade, the size of your business, your phone number and your message. We also store the time of the request and the sending IP address so that we can fend off automated bulk requests.
We use these details only to answer your request and to get in touch with you. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where the request aims at entering into a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. An informal email to kontakt@mitklaus.com is enough; the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then remains unaffected.
Your request is stored on the same server and is additionally delivered to us by email. For sending mail and for our mailboxes we use Google Workspace from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, acting as a processor for us in that respect.
We delete your request once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way, and in any case no later than twelve months after the last contact.
Bot check in the form (Cloudflare Turnstile)
So that the form does not deliver automated bulk requests to us, Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a request comes from a human being. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
The check loads only once you touch the form, that is on a click into a field or when you move there with the keyboard. Anyone who merely reads the page has no contact with Cloudflare. From that moment a script is loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com, and according to Cloudflare it processes your IP address, a TLS fingerprint, the browser identification (user agent) as well as the identifier of our form and the page you came from. Cloudflare does not receive what you type into the form. In the variant we use, Turnstile sets no cookies.
On submission our server sends the resulting check value together with your IP address to Cloudflare for confirmation. Without a confirmed check we do not accept the request; it is then neither stored nor sent.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in protecting the form and our mailbox against automated misuse. As Cloudflare is based in the USA, a transfer to the USA may take place; the basis for this is the data processing agreement concluded with Cloudflare, including the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. For details see Cloudflare: Turnstile Privacy Policy.
If you would rather not use the check, simply send us an email to kontakt@mitklaus.com instead. Cloudflare is not involved in that case.
Contact by email
If you write to us directly by email, we process your address and the content of your message solely in order to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) or (b) GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). Please use the address given above.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.
No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place via this website.
